About Lake Thun
Lake Thun (German: Thunersee) is a lake in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. The alpine lake is located between Thun and Interlaken. Passenger ships, including steamboats, are operated by BLS AG.
The Steamboat Blüemlisalp
The ship in the picture is the Paddle steamer Blüemlisalp. The boat built in 1906, is still (2012) travelling as part of the public tranportation network on the lake.

The picture was taken around 2003. Standing at the port in Spiez, the view shows the lake in direction of Interlaken.
